This diagram is Maslow's hierarchy of needs, a theory which explains our Physiological, Saftey, love/belonging 

Esteem, and Self-actualization. This pyramid is made to show that the two top boxes show what people need and music magazines could be a contributing factor to this. Maslow's Hierarchy explains that needs started off with essential needs to keep you alive such as breathing and water, moving onto needs such as safety and security then friendship, family and so on, it then moves on to needs such as self esteem and confidence. These are important as they give people a good view on how life should be.
